Royal Tour of North America: Day 1 - Bird Print Issa at BBQ

via mirror.co.uk

In the evening of Day 1 of the royal tour of Canada, Kate Middleton debuted a third outfit. This time it was a pretty bird print dress and wedge sandals for a BBQ.

Dress look familiar?
via sugarslam.com

The Issa bird-print dress is the same one Kate was spotted wearing outside the Goring Hotel the night before her wedding along with her Maddox wedges and a white BCBG cardi jacket.

Kate's slingback wedges at the Canadian BBQ look a lot like Pied A Terre's Ivy P or Imperia, although the company has yet to confirm. Pied A Terre has stated that the Ivy is "nearly identical" and made no mention of the Imperia (above), which we think is likely the real match.

UPDATE: Kate's slingback wedges have been confirmed as Pied A Terres by the company, but they're saying the Ivy, which we're still not sure about. Most likely the Ivy is the current model available and that's what the company is now trying to sell as the Duchess of Cambridge's slingback wedges.

Kate's gold leaf earrings are by Vinnie Day.
We have yet to ID the Duchess' disc necklace,
let us know if it looks familiar to you!

Royal Tour of North America: Day 1 - Landing in Ottawa

The Eagle has landed!
Ehrm...well...the Duchess has, anyway.
William and Kate just arrived in Ottawa for the start
of their tour of Canada and Los Angeles.

Gone was Kate's version of stewardess chic, replaced by a stylish lace shift--the Erdem Cecile dress. We heartily approva of this choice. Photos via The Daily Mail UK.

Erdem Resort 2011 via style.com

Accessory-wise Kate went with the L.K. Bennett Sledge2 pumps, that mystery nude clutch and her hair styled half up, likely a real help in the wind.

Kate also wore the cabochon sapphire earrings she sported at her official engagement announcement at Clarence House (worn with that iconic blue Issa dress). We're thinking that the earrings and matching necklace may be from Elsa Peretti's collection for Tiffany's. According to Diana's Jewels these earrings feature "a sapphire oval cabochon set in yellow gold bezel hangs from a bezel set diamond stud."

The site also points out that this isn't the first time we've seen the earrings. Also, they're part of a set--Kate sported the necklace to the wedding of Lady Rose Windsor in 2008. And, seriously, we know there's been a lot of Waifey Katey talk lately, but the girl has never been big. What we can't get over is her face. Sometimes she looks like a completely different person. No? Just us?

Royal Tour of North America: Day 1 - Leaving Heathrow

Photo by Steve Parsons - WPA Pool/Getty Images

The much anticipated (by us) Royal Tour 2011 has been kicked off; William and Kate having left Heathrow on a jet supplied by the Canadian Air Force. Ever the diplomat the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing her first Canadian designer of the tour (Smythe) and one of her fave colors, (navy) blue.

Kate accessorized with Manolo Blahnik Calogera court
shoes and Mulberry's TDF Polly Push Lock Bag.

Broken down to its essential elements we like this outfit.

The blazer? Check.
That bag? Check.
Roland Mouret? Yes, please.

All together and in navy? A little too stewardess chic for our liking.

Kate Middleton Wears White (Again!) at Wimbledon

ibtimes.com

Kate Middleton made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon along with Prince William sporting one of her go-to colours of late: white.

zimbio.com

This time Kate wore a the tiered and pleated Moriah Dress from Temperley London paired with her trusty nude Sledge2 pumps from L.K. Bennett, that mystery nude clutch, and her new sapphire earrings and monogrammed bracelet. Fresh, pretty and happy we'd say.

If you're interested, Temperley is releasing the dress,
you can register here.

Kate Middleton's New Monogrammed Bracelet

Wondering about that charm bracelet the Duchess of Cambridge wore when meeting with the Irish Guards recently? According to the Daily Mail the bracelet was in fact a wedding gift from Camilla. One side of the charm features Kate's new monogram (a curly 'C' under a coronet) and the other side features Camilla's (also a 'C' under a coronet, but with the letter in a circle).

A lot of people have huge hate-ons for problems with Camilla. We can see where they're coming from. The entire mess with Diana was, well, quite a mess. Still, we're of the mind that Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall seem very happy these days and that his sons seem fond of her as well, a large vote in her favour we'd say. Kate also seems to get along with Camilla, and if the entire family has managed to move past all the mistakes and heartache we say good on them. We'd love to know what you think!

What Was Kate Middleton Wearing at the Irish Guard Medal Parade? McQueen!

There were epaulets! Shiny gold buttons! And a fabulous clutch to boot!
Can you tell we're really, really, really feeling Kate Middleton's navy, military-inspired Alexander McQueen coat and dress for the Irish Guard Medal Parade? Like, really, really, really feeling it.

This is the Kate we love -- classic but fresh, stylish but appropriate.
Seriously, we think she hit the nail on the head.

via iialp.org

Sarah Burton's Pre-Fall collection for McQueen was full of military inspiration but it appears that Kate's outfit was custom. (McQueen has confirmed both garments are theirs).

The Duchess of Cambridge carried a drool worthy blue box clutch from Anya Hindmarch. The Marano is made of shagreen, AKA real stingray.

The ID of Kate's navy pumps remain a mystery, although they do look like her black Pradas we don't think they're the same design. We'd love to know your thoughts.

Kate's uber cute fascinator is by Rachel Trevor-Morgan and the Duchess was also wearing her Kiki Mcdonough citrine earrings again. Some new pieces of jewelry included a Shamrock brooch and a monogrammed gold charm bracelet. The brooch has been worn by other members of the royal family like Princess Anne and apparently is loaned out by the Irish Guards Regiment.

Kate Middleton in Katherine Hooker at the Order of the Garter

Photo: Getty/The Mirror UK

Girls, let's talk. Here's the thing, we're fans of Kate's penchant for coat dresses, but sometimes we think the style might veer into Camilla territory (not good when you're 29). The dove grey coat and matching silk dress that the Duchess of Cambridge sported at the Order of the Garter ceremony is evidence of this. Yes, the colour is understated and pretty, the embroidery is delicate, but it's all so...boring. So we've-seen-it-all-before.

Photo: Daily Express.co.uk/princess-diana-remembered.com

Both Kate's grey dress and coat are by Katherine Hooker. According to the designer the Buxton Dress is "cut on the bias in Mercury crepe silk satin" and the Buxton Coat is made of Ash Simla silk.

Kate Middleton's grey suede pumps are the Malone by Rupert Sanderson. (Confirmed on the designer's Facebook). She also wore a cross necklace we've seen her sporting for many years now.

zimbio.com

Kate's hat is by Rachel Trevor-Morgan and she's wearing the Kiki Mcdonough Grace Topaz and Diamond Stud Earrings.

The International Business Times

Kate's suede clutch at the Order of the Garter
ceremony is the Carole by Emmy Custom.

It's the same bag that mum Carole sported at the royal wedding, along with shoes and a coat-and-dress combo very similar to what her daughter was wearing at the Order of the Garter Service. We like that the Middleton ladies swap clothing and accessories. Refreshingly normal.

But, when you're barely 30 and already dressing like your mom we'd definitely say your look is a little...dated. Too old Kate! The look is elegant but just too old. When it comes to coat dresses we love you looking fresh faced and chic in McQueen!

Kate Middleton at Prince Philip's 90th Birthday: Part Deux

Photo: Robin Bell/The Daily Mail

After the official service to honour Prince Philip's birthday, the Duke of Edinburg's immediate family got together for a more intimate soiree. For the family dinner Kate wore a decidedly wrinkly coral Stella McCartney that Madonna originally sported in 2008 at the amfAR Gala in Cannes. According to Grazia, Kate bought the dress for  £305--it was originally £1425--at a Joseph sale pre-wedding.

We can't figure out this look. The colour is fab but it doesn't seem to hang properly on Kate. Take this as a lesson barganistas--a sale is only a score if it looks good on you!

Kate Recycles Another Frock for Prince Philip's Birthday

Telegraph UK

Forget the high street or designer boutiques, this weekend Kate Middleton proved that sometimes the easiest place to shop is your own closet. After recycling that black and white Zara dress at her friends' wedding on Saturday, the Duchess appeared at a service celebrating Prince Philip's birthday in pieces she's worn before.

The Mirror UK

Kate's brocade coat is a cornflower blue creation from Jane Troughton last seen at the 2009 wedding of Nicolas van Cutsem (second photo above). For Prince Philip's 90th birthday, Kate changed up the hat (the new one is also by Jane Corbett), shoes (those nude L.K. Bennett Sledge2 pumps) and dress to give the coat a second life.

And the dress underneath that coat? We've seen it before too. It's the blue pleated Zara dress that Kate wore when departing Buckingham Palace the day after her wedding. Kate was also carrying an unidentified nude clutch.

Kate's sapphire-and-diamond earrings have apparently been refashioned from an old pair of Princess Diana's, part of the jewelry suite gifted to the late Princess of Wales by the Prince of Saudi Arabia.

While we can't say we love the earrings--like the engagement ring they kind of seem...old fashioned--the bit of history is appreciated and they do match that famous ring quite nicely.

And this may not be our favourite Kate Middleton fashion look (we'll take a chic McQueen coat dress any day of the week), but we do respect how the Duchess is able to recycle old items to make new looks.

The Duchess Recycles Black and White Zara for Friend's Wedding

After the Trooping the Colour, Kate Middleton did a quick change to attend the wedding of old friend Sam Waley-Cohen to Bella Ballin. Who, you ask? Well, ol' Sam has the distinction of being the man who is said to have brought Will and Kate back together after their 2007 split.

Zimbio

Kate, ever considerate of her sartorial choices, seemed to play down her look so as not to overshadow the bride (well, at least she tried), choosing a slim, monochromatic Zara dress that we last saw her wear outside Boujis nightclub in 2007. The Duchess stuck with the black Treacy hat she wore earlier and also wore her Links of London Bubble Earrings, and the same black Prada pumps and Anya Hindmarch Maud clutch that she wore when meeting with the Obamas earlier this month.

SkyNews

We totally love that Kate recycles her fashions (and we're glad she got rid of that belt, too). She's great at making everything old look new again. What we can't get over is how different Kate looks these days.

And, Pippa, you were on shaky ground with us to start with. Your Royal Hotness or whatever they're calling you these days (we prefer Harry's rumored nickname for her--Commando--bwah!), you've failed miserably with this ensemble. Mother-of-the-brideish is putting it mildly. Ugly and ill-fitting is about right.

Popsugar

Think Kate's the only royal who knows the benefits of shopping their closet?
Nuh uh says Beatrice. Ms. York showed up at the wedding in the
same purple blazer and hat she was seen sporting in 2009.
We love the clutch!

Zimbio

The happy couple!

Kate Middleton Wears White McQueen at Trooping the Colour

Okay, we can't say we know exactly what Trooping of the Colour is (Something to do with the Queen's birthday? Maybe?) but we definitely know that when we saw Kate Middleton in her white Alexander McQueen coat dress we died a little. If this girl always dresses like this we'll love her forever.

Getty Images

Kate definitely seems to like rocking the white/cream/ivory lately, ostensibly to remind us that she is the bride of the year (Kate Moss, Charlene Wittstock, don't you forget it!) Kate's black hat is by Philip Treacy.

The coat is on sale at net-a-porter:
now only $2,691.50!

Kate was wearing another pair of Kiki Mcdonough earrings, this time the designer's White Topaz and Diamond Stud Earrings from the Grace Collection.

So in short, we are mad over this coat dress.
The cut, the fit, the little injection in youth and
style in a design that could otherwise be dowdy.
Please KMidd, we're begging you, let's stay on this road.
